Cajun Butter Corn Recipe

My family loves this buttered Cajun corn! We cook corn in foil to ensure that the corn remains tender and juicy. Use a grill or oven!

Make the most of the corn season with this incredibly delicious Cajun corn with very delicious Cajun butter. Once corn season is in, we have the opportunity to make this corn recipe. It’s easy and quick and you can make other recipes with the same Cajun butter, like Cajun Shrimp!

For this recipe, you will wrap the corn in foil, just like our roasted corn and chili butter. You can use an oven or grill based on anything you make yourself. And, if you have corn left, I highly recommend saving it to my favorite corn salad (best!).

Key Ingredients

  • corn: I like to make this recipe with corn on the bar, but of course you can cut the bar into smaller pieces or use corn kernels that have already cut the kernels. When buying fresh corn, look for corn ears with tightly wrapped husks and avoid any sticky or dark corn.
  • butter: I use salty butter but can exchange the unsalted flavor at will and add salt. Room temperature or soft butter makes our Cajun butter very easy, so please put the butter on the counter for about an hour in advance.
  • Cajun seasoning: Use your favorite store-bought seasoning mixture or make a homemade Cajun seasoning with hot chili powder, sweet chili powder, chili powder, thyme, sugar and salt.
  • garlic: I like to grind some garlic into my flavored butter, which makes the corn fragrant. so good!
  • Herbs: We added some chopped cilantro to the color and flavor, but the cilantro is great too.

How to Make Cajun Butter Corn

The Cajun flavored butter we use for this corn recipe is the same as our recipe for Cajun Shrimp. As mentioned earlier, I use our favorite Cajun seasoning, but you can substitute your favorite if you prefer. I love this butter (apart from its deliciousness) that you can make in advance and store it in the refrigerator or fridge for another day. Very good with other vegetables, shrimp and chicken.

To make corn, apply Cajun butter on top and wrap it in foil. Place the foil-wrapped corn on the grill or in a preheated oven and cook until tender. Then, when consuming, make sure to leave the remaining foil bottom on the bottom on the corn paper. marvelous!

You will need

4-eared corn, torn

4 tablespoons room temperature butter

2 cloves and garlic, chopped or grated

2 tablespoons coriander or parsley leaves, chopped

1 tablespoon homemade Cajun seasoning or buy using the store

    1For cooking on the grill: Preheat the gas grill between 400°F and 450°F for about 10 minutes. For charcoal grills, once the coals look off-white they spread out and then push them mostly on one side of the grill, creating a hotter, more direct cooking area. Depending on your charcoal, this may take 30 minutes.

    2If baking in the oven: Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the oven rack in the middle.

    3Make Cajun Butter: Mix 1/4 cup room temperature with 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, 2 chopped garlic cloves and 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro.

    4Prepare corn: Sprinkle the butter evenly over the corn ears with a spoon. Then, place the butter corn on aluminum foil and wrap it tightly to create the packaging.

    5Roasted corn: Place the corn pack on indirect heat (cool area of ​​the grill) to prevent burning and make sure to cook for 10 to 15 minutes, flip the pack over half of the entire cooking time.

    6Roasted corn: Place corn packs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 to 30 minutes, flipping once during baking.
