If you have ever insisted on how to deal with the rest of the buttermilk used to make buttermilk syrup or buttermilk pancakes or even the best homemade ranch salad seasoning, don’t look again. This ice cream will be a revelation.

Scroll it into a bowl, serve alone or with berry jam to make it unbeatable. It is also an ideal foundation for any other topping, such as salted caramel sauce.

Unique ice cream flavor

Buttermilk ice cream may be more of a unique ice cream concept than your usual ice cream flavor, but it is worth transferring from the standard. Make the buttermilk work well in baked goods with the same bright and smooth texture, and the texture is good, which can improve the vanilla ice cream in the texture and flavor department.

There are also some unique ice creams to try, check out Mac and cheese ice cream, marinated ice cream and popcorn ice cream.

To make this less mild sweet ice cream you need the following ingredients:

  • Heavy cream
  • Whole milk
  • Buttermilk
  • sugar
  • Kosher salt
  • Vanilla extract

This is not a case where you can “cheat” buttermilk needs by mixing vinegar or lemon juice with whole milk. You do really need the cultured buttermilk you bought from the store.
