Cranberry Brownies – Naked in the Kitchen
Rich chocolate brownies loaded with cranberries and pecans are one of my favorite easy-to-make desserts this time of year—an unexpected and fun holiday flavor.
For years, I made cranberry brownies and served them with ice cream and hot fudge sauce at least a few times every holiday. Without exception, everyone who tastes them raves about them.
Cranberry Brownie
The brownie base for this recipe has been a favorite of mine for years. This is an easy pot recipe that comes together in less than 10 minutes and is perfect for any time of day snack.
Cranberries are the tart of a gorgeous chocolate cake with rich chocolate. It’s a fun surprise flavor and they’re always guaranteed on the dessert table. If you haven’t fallen in love with the pairing of fruit and chocolate yet, these brownies might convince you to give it a try soon.

You will need the following ingredients to make this recipe
- butter
- semisweet chocolate
- light brown sugar
- vanilla extract
- egg
- all purpose flour
- kosher salt
- fresh or frozen cranberries
- pecan
Cook’s Note: These brownies will keep well in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days. Plus, they can be wrapped airtight and frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before eating.
Frozen cranberries work great in this recipe. After I purchase, I throw a bag of fresh cranberries in the freezer. Frozen cranberries can be added to recipes without thawing.

Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a 9×9 pan with butter or parchment paper. Melt butter in medium pot over medium-high heat.

Add chocolate chips to butter and stir until melted. Remove from heat. Add sugar and vanilla and beat until smooth.

Stir in eggs. Add flour and salt. Stir until well combined. Stir in cranberries and pecans.

Pour into a well or parchment paper lined pan. Bake for 28-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownie comes out with moist crumbs.
