How to make hook -edited temperature blankets
All detailed information about how to make daily hook needle blankets, including how much needle knitting the hook needle weave and what yarn is used!
It is very easy to make hook -edited temperature blankets! It uses a simple hook needle, and the end result is unique and beautiful!
In 2024, I saw several articles about their temperature blankets about their social media accounts, including a high school friend Liz.
Even in mid -January (this means I have been behind!), But I am still addicted to this idea, knowing that I want to solve this interesting project. So my pigeons started!
Although this is a bit different from food and recipes, I think it would be interesting to share all the details you need to make the temperature blanket yourself.
Temperature blanket: foundation
For hook -edited temperature blankets:
- One line of daily hook needle woven
- The color of the yarn used in each row reflects the high temperature of the day
- Use a single hook needle hook weaving bank
You can change some details according to your temperature blanket.
- The number of needles depends entirely on you; I use a blanket 230 hook needle woven per line
- The size of the hook hook can also change. I use Size K/6.5mm hook (My hook needle is medium); this is my favorite style of hook needle hook
- Different colors (outside the color at temperature-the following more colors can be used at the end of each month to identify each separate month
- After completion, you can add the border to the blanket (I haven’t added a border to the blanket displayed below, but I plan to add a blanket because the blanket is completed)
Temperature blanket: yarn
It is best to determine the temperature range to be used first, depending on your place of residence. I live in four different seasons, so I used the following temperature range:
- <19 ° F
- 20-29 ° F
- 30-39 ° F
- 40-49 ° F
- 50-59 ° F
- 60-60 ° F
- 70-79 ° F
- 80-89 ° F
- 90-99 ° F
- 100 ° F and higher
Then, determine which yarn is allocated to the color of each temperature range. Many different brands/yarn varieties will be used for this blanket.
I follow the inspiration of many Instagram accounts, Second -hand lion brand heart area yarnEssence I bought it from Joann Fabrics, because there are often discount codes, and I have a Semi Close store to easily extract me.
I made a temperature blanket with about 25 to 27 lion brands of heart yarn.
I allocate the following colors for each temperature range, use cold colors to make the temperature lower, and increase the warmth of the color as the temperature rises:
- <19 ° F: Wolf trap
- 20-29 ° F: Sail
- 30-39 ° f: Karzbad cave
- 40-49 ° F: Petrochemical Forest
- 50-59 ° F: haleakala
- 60-60 ° F: Bryce Canyon
- 70-79 ° F: Gateway arch
- 80-89 ° F: Aura
- 90-99 ° F: Mahogany
- 100 ° F and higher: wasteland
- Summary of each month: White sand
I use this very convenient gauze to wrap the tangled yarn to wrap each twisted line into the yarn “cake”. That’s a lifeguard Because the yarn is seamlessly relaxed when the hook is woven (it is actually interesting to use it).
Temperature blanket: How to start
- Hook knitting 230 stitches (or many needles used for blankets). Use the yarn color that will be used in the first line (January 1).
- Weaving a single hook needle along the chain.
- If you use the same color on January 2, add an additional single hook needle knitting on the last single hook needle, turn the blanket, and then woven the hook needle on the second day of the whole line (through two cycles) Essence
- Repeat this process and change it when you need to use other colors according to the temperature. Always add an additional hook needle weaving to the last needle Before flipping and starting a new line.
- To match the new color, I used the method displayed in the YouTube tutorial.
The figure below shows the position of the first needle of each row when turning the blanket.
Temperature blanket: other details
Although I did my best, I inevitably lag behind the year, especially because in late February, I decided to start the second temperature blanket, which means that I have a lot of things to do!
I made two temperature blankets in 2024. One is the temperature I live in southwestern Aida, and the second blanket is the temperature of the small town of Switzerland.
In order to track the weather, I made a simple electronic watch in every month, and I wrote the temperature every day. If I behind, I will use this website to find the daily temperature in the past.
I put both the electronic meter and a pen in the hook pins, so that I can easily mark it when the ranks are completed.
The reason why I was called “a lady with a hook knitting” was because I woven the rumor woven from wrestling to the doctor’s office to the road to the road. Until they are too big and cannot be easily brought to anywhere.
I will always have a good memory of a year, because this makes me sit down more frequently at night, and when I do this, my children often gather around me, and we give the best speech and laughter. (I have also experienced a lot of audiobooks!)
Many of you have made a temperature hook needle blanket (I know, because you sent me a picture of the creation on Instagram!). There are so many color changes; I love them!
