How to make our favorite cauliflower fried corn cake
We tried a variety of broccoli fried corn cake recipes, but these simple grilled broccoli fried corn cakes are our favorite. To create them, we pour the original broccoli into a large amount of spices, and then roast it in the oven until it becomes soft and caramel.
For the spice mixture, when we want the calories, we mix Ancho pepper powder, smoked pepper powder, onion powder, garlic powder and small peppers.
The combination of this spice makes cauliflower grilled bread, smoky and delicious! It also adds the cutest color. When the broccoli is baked, we add some fresh flavor and squeeze fresh lime.

First, we have homemade corn cakes. You combine Masa Harina with water and press them into corn cakes. They can quickly make and taste more than you buy in the store!
Then, this is our homemade flour corn cake. These are also simple. Mix flour and water, oil and a small amount of salt, and then pour it into a flat disk. Their cooking methods are similar to corn cakes and the taste is amazing!

8 corn cake or flour corn cake
1 medium -sized cauliflower (about 1 1/4 pounds), cut into small flowers
2 tablespoons of olive oil, grape seed oil or neutral seasoning oil
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
1 teaspoon ancho pepper powder or use our homemade pepper powder, please refer to notes
1 teaspoon smoke pepper powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon to 1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 to 3 lime or lemon wedge
1 Zhong avoisite, mashed
2 cups of thin cabbage or lettuce

Optional head: pickled onions, marinated Mexican pepper, fresh coriander leaves, broken or chopped cheese
Lime cream (lime yogurt)
1/2 cup of Craima or yogurt
1 to 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice

1Heat the oven to 425 degrees of Fahrenheit. Setting the baking sheet with parchment paper or silicon baking sheet-it is not entirely necessary to lined in the pot, but this is indeed helpful to clean up.
2In a large bowl, use oil, salt, pepper powder, smoked pepper powder, onion powder, garlic powder and pepper to throw away the broccoli flower. Add the experienced little flowers to the baking sheet. Open them and face many flat edges downwards to make them brown.
3Bake until the edges are crispy and brown, and the interior becomes soft for 20 to 35 minutes. After 20 minutes, stir brown to promote brown change.
4Take out the cauliflower from the oven, and then toss with the squeezing fresh orange juice.
- Assembled fried corn cake
1Wrap corn cake and aluminum foil paper. Put it in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until heated.
2Sprinkle a tablespoon of potatoes on each corn cake. Then add a small amount of chopped cabbage, some grilled cauliflower, the drizzle of lemon cream, and any other fried corn cake-try to marinate onion, wrinkled or chopped cheese.

- CREMA is a thickened rich cream (similar to yogurt cream). We buy our store on the local Mexican market, but you may find that your local grocery stores sell it. If you can’t find it, use yogurt as a substitute.
- Any pepper powder is suitable for this recipe, but we like to use Ancho pepper powder, which tastes sweet, fruity and gentle. We also like to replace it with flavor -rich homemade pepper powder mixtures.
- The smoked pepper powder is made of dry and smoked Pimiento pepper. It adds deep smoke aroma and flavor. Unless it is pointed out on the packaging, it is usually not hot (spicy), but mild, a bit sweet.
