The best crockpot oatmeal – red meal in the kitchen

Filled with creamy oatmeal, sweet bananas and berries, a hint of brown sugar and spices, this Crockpot Oatmeal is a favorite breakfast for my entire family. Most importantly, this craving oatmeal can be churned in just one hour!

Strawberry Banana Oatmeal
Closer to warm cereals than traditionally cooked oatmeal, Crockpot Oatmeal is a great way to make oatmeal. We made several different strawberry or banana oatmeal and loved them.
My kids can never decide which oatmeal they like best. We had a lot of oatmeal in this house. Traditional oatmeal, grilled oatmeal, crockpot oatmeal, are often offered here.
Oatmeal and nuts
My husband loves adding fruit to the oatmeal and he is very content with a bowl of stove oatmeal filled with chewy raisins, crispy nuts, brown sugar and butter. This nut raisin oatmeal appears on our breakfast table at least a few days a month – if not frequent.
Although I like that oatmeal, I also like the flavor and texture of the oatmeal when it is slowly cooked in crockpot.

Slow-cooked oatmeal
Waiting for breakfast on a weekday morning seems like a long time, but it’s really simple, it’s really simple, it seems like a long time. Surprisingly, cooking oatmeal in a slow cooker doesn’t take a lot of time.
Stir the ingredients together and walk away to prepare for your day. After an hour, everyone will be hungry and can eat breakfast.
The flavors in this oatmeal are perfect together. The softened fragility of pecans, sweet bananas, sweet and sour berries, tender oats and brown sugar makes the whole family enjoyable breakfast enjoyment.

Slow cooker or crockpots are the devices I have multiple. If you are an avid slow cooker user like me, you may understand that multiple is needed. So let’s talk about my favorites:
First is this 6 quart slow cooker with locking lid. These pots are perfect for transporting food. Mine was everywhere from the mess of churches to barbecue, game night to Thanksgiving dinner. But, fair warning, these slow cookers are crazy. The boiling point of low heat is actually closer to the boiling setting. So, when I say high, trust me.
My daily slow cooker is this 8 quart crockpot. This is my first choice for cooking large barbecue and large batches of chili. Fun fact: Did you know that a full 4 quart cooker is actually slower than a half-full 8 quart cooker?
Just cook a few pounds of chicken to chop enchiladas or other smaller recipes, this 3 quart version is perfect.
Since I’ve mastered how to hold all the side dishes with these medium round slow cookers, Thanksgiving has been a breeze.
If you don’t like the idea of putting multiple slow cookers in your house, these crockpockets are game-changers when it comes to preparing and holding multiple dishes at the same time. They slide into the standard 6 quart crockpot and split it into two sections, perfect for offering different sides or keeping the taco-filled party warm.

Crockpot Oatmeal Recipe
- Mix together milk, oats, bananas, strawberries, pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt.
- Cook high for 45-60 minutes or cook on low for 1-2 hours.
- Stir occasionally. Cook until the desired consistency.
Cook’s note: I rarely remember to stir mine, and it’s good every time. The longer the cooking time, the thicker the oatmeal.

Crockpot Oatmeal
Crock-Pot oatmeal is such an easy weekday breakfast. I love that when I start drinking coffee in the morning, I can throw everything in the pot and breakfast is ready to eat.
Next to my list are oatmeal, especially these strawberry overnight oats, which you can make them in two different ways, and both recipes sound delicious.

The grilled oatmeal is a great breakfast for the crowd. It is easy to multiply the recipe by as many recipes as you need to feed.
As long as I remember, this stovetop nut raisin oatmeal has always been Sean’s favorite oatmeal. And, every time the berries are in season, this blueberry and creamy oatmeal is my weakness.

Place all ingredients in crockpot. Cook high for 45 minutes to 1 hour or cook at low points for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally, or until desired consistency. I rarely remember to stir mine, and it was good every time. The longer the cooking time, the thicker the oatmeal.
Depending on your preference, add bananas at the start of cooking time or stir last. I did both ways and most of my families don’t seem to notice the difference. I prefer my bananas to be firmer, so if I think about it in time, I will wait to add them at the end. Oatmeal is two great ways.
