Leave the remaining vanilla pudding in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, covering a piece of plastic wrap on the surface of the pudding to prevent skin from forming on the top.

This creamy homemade vanilla pudding is made with corn starch, milk and sugar, then made with butter and vanilla for a rich flavor.

In a medium pan, mix the corn starch, sugar and salt together. Stir gradually in the milk.
